READ CAREFULLY BEFORE WEARING GARMENT FOR THE FIRST TIME
This garment is UL certified as being compliant under NFPA 2112-2023. This garment meets performance requirements of ASTM F1959/F1959M-14E1

USER INFORMATION FOR NAPI WORK WEAR FLAME RESISTANT CLOTHING
DANGER
Carefully read this User Information Guide to its entirety. All of the instructions contained within are intended to alert you of potential risks of serious injury and death and to reduce those risks. No garments can ensure full protection against all serious injuries or death. It is your responsibility as the consumer to familiarize yourself with this User Information Guide. It is also your responsibility to use your garments in accordance with its instructions.
INTRODUCTION
This User Information Guide provides important information regarding the care, maintenance and use of your flame resistant garment.
WARNINGS
This garment provides limited protection to you in the event of exposure to direct heat or flame. You will not be protected from all hazards when using this garment alone. Even though the garment is constructed with flame resistance materials. You will not be protected, if this garment is not properly maintained. If this garment is damaged do not use it. Also, do not use garments when soiled or contaminated. You must also understand the use limitations for this garment prior to actually wearing it. Napi Work Wear does not and cannot assess the appropriate garment for you to use based on your specific trade. The garment is not intended for use in any firefighting activities or fire entry. Garment is not designed to protect you against hazardous liquids, chemicals or continuous thermal electric loads. Depending on your use, additional protection may be needed. If a garment has emblems, or other enhancements, such features may not be resistant to fire. Garment is provided to you by Napi Work Wear "as Is". If protective properties are compromised, use of this garment must be discontinued immediately. Napi Work Wear will not be liable for any indirect/direct loss including death or injuries arising out of the use of this garment. You assume all risks associated with using this garment.
GARMENT MARKING AND EMBLEMS
The use of non-heat or non-flame resistant embroidery, emblems, patches, and heat transfers used to designate a specific organization or government entity should be limited. If emblem embroidery/patches/shields are used, they should be relatively small and it may still compromise your garment in the event of an electrical arc or flash fire exposure.
INSPECTION AND REPAIR INFORMATION
Inspect your garment periodically as follows:
A- Upon receipt always inspect your garment
B- At least once a month
C- Before and after each use
D- Anytime the garment has been subject to contamination or damage
All major seams must be inspected for structural damages. Inspect all components for tears, damages caused by burn, rips or abrasion damage, missing components, cleanliness, discoloration, holes, pocket damages, hardware function, size and fit.
Garment must be removed from service if any component is missing or damaged. You must have your garment replaced or repaired. An experienced service provider should be the one to repair this garment if it should become damaged. Garment should be repaired using fabric used in the original construction of the garment. Significant alterations to the garment are not allowed as they could reduce the protection qualities of the garment. Unauthorized repairs to the flame-resistant garment invalidates implied/expressed warranties.
CLEANING/MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS
A- Machine wash hot normal cycle (120 degrees Fahrenheit or 49 degrees Celsius). Material shrinkage can occur if overly hot water is utilized.
B- Never use bleach - Discoloration of fabric can occur when bleaches are used. Bleaches can also cause garment materials to lose its performance characteristics, such as strength, flame resistance, etc.
C- Can dry clean
D- Tumble dry medium- Automatic dryers should not be used. Automatic dryers can cause damage to the reflective trim of your garment. Material shrinkage can occur when garment is over dry.
E- Do not use starch, fabric softener or any laundry additives- Oil based products as fabric softeners can contribute to fabric flammability.
F- Garments should be kept clean. The life expectancy of the garment, as well as the flame resistance increases when contaminants and flammable soils are removed every time the garment is used. The ability of the garment to resist flame can be compromised when garments are contaminated with flammable contaminants. Garment may not only ignite, but the clothing might continue to burn when normally the garment would self extinguish.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR WASHING GARMENT AT HOME
A- The flame-resistant garment should be turned inside out and must be washed separately from any other clothing. To prevent the spread of contamination to other laundry items, washers used by the public are not recommended.
B- Apply these instructions when washing a number of clothing items in the same load
C- Washing machine must be fill to the highest level
D- Washing machine must be set to “normal cycle” or a similar setting
E- Double rinse garment
F- When using outside laundering, the same procedure must be followed to avoid damages to the garment.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR DRYING GARMENT AT HOME
A. Multiple heat settings dryer should be selected.
B. Medium heat setting should be utilized.
EXTERNAL CLEANING SERVICES
If an outside cleaning organization is used to clean your fire resistant garments, make sure that the procedures used for washing and drying the garments are effective in removing soils and other possible contaminants while not adversely affecting the performance or condition of your garments.
IRONING
If needed, please use a warm iron to remove wrinkles from the garment.
DONNING AND DOFFING
Tight fitting clothing must be avoided at all times. The garment shall cover potential exposed areas as completely as possible. All flame-resistant clothing are worn properly only when all closures are secured fully, when shirts and sleeves that cover all parts of your arms are fastened at the wrists, when pant legs are rolled all the way down and completely closed at the ankles and when shirts are tucked fully inside the waistband of pants.
You must make all fit adjustments when donning this garment (if provided), fully extend the legs and sleeves, and make sure all closures (buttons, snaps, zippers, etc.) are secured. Fully extend all adjustments when removing this garment (if provided) and unfasten all closures (buttons, zippers, snap, etc.)
PROPER USE CONSISTENT WITH NFPA 2113
NFPA 2113 provides instruction for selection, use, care, and maintenance requirements for Flame-Resistance Garments use by industrial personnel in areas at risk of short-duration thermal exposures.
Please follow the provisions in the NFPA 2113 to promote the correct selection of flame resistant garments and to reduce the risks caused by contamination, damage or incorrect maintenance of the garment. For more detailed information, please refer to NFPA 2113.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
After garments have been properly inspected and cleaned, garments should be stored in an area where garments are not exposed to excessive moisture or direct sunlight. Permanent damage to the garments can occur when garments are stored in direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to sunlight should be avoided. Garments can lose strength when exposed to ultraviolet light. Garments will grow fungus and mildew, if stored in wet areas and that will damage your garment permanently.
RETIREMENT AND DISPOSAL
The flame-resistant garments do not hold an indefinite useful life and you as the consumer must realize this information. Garments exposed to hazardous materials which cannot be decontaminated safely should be retired. If the garment cannot be adequately cleaned or correctly repaired, the garment should be removed from service. Garment should be disposed properly in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
WARRANTY
When the garments’ use, warning and care instructions are properly followed, Napi Work Wear, warrants the flame-resistance garments to be free from material defects and workmanship for the useful life of the products.
Workmanship and material defects for the purposes of this warranty is defined as defects that arise from malfunctioning hardware, flawed fabrics, the manufacturing process, including broken/loose seams. Ordinary wear and tear do not encompass defects. For the purpose of this warranty useful life is defined as no more than 3 years. It could be shorter, but it all depends on how frequent the garment is used. It is the user responsibility or the agency or department to establish standards for determining and assessing the useful life of the garment.
The below items are excluded from coverage under this warranty:
A. Damages from extended wear and tear
B. Damages arising from garment misuse or abuse
C. Damages arising out of modifications done by the consumer
D. Products purchased other than from Napi Work Wear from and authorized Napi Work Wear dealer.
